Mary Anne Weir, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Rhonda Weir, niece of the bride, was flower girl. The groomsman was Mr. Herb. Hastings, Schomberg, cousin of the groom and the ushers were Mr. Lloyd Botham, Schomberg, brother of the groom, and Mr. Norman Weir, Bradford, brother of the bride. Master Carl Hastings was the ring bearer. Mr. and Mrs. Botham will reside in Toronto.

Description : Died at York County Hospital, Newmarket, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Eileen and dear father of Sherran (Mrs. George Breedon) of Bradford, dear grandfather of Laurie, Paul and Trish, dear brother of Glenn of Scarborough. Rested at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St., Bradford. Service was held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment Newmarket Cemetery.

Bradford doctor was honored for service

"Bradford doctor G.L. Blackwell was honored last Wednesday at the annual meeting of the York County Hospital for his years of service as chief of staff of the hospital and on the board of directors. Dr. Blackwell received a large painting as thanks for his 12 years as medical chief of staff and nine years on the board. Dr. Blackwell retired from the positions at the end of 1975. The presentation was part of the annual meeting which was held to elect directors for 1976 and to receive the annual reports for 1975."
