Description : John Yesanko, who operated the Shell service station on Holland St. for many years died on December 3.He was 56.Mr. Yesanko resided at 19 Morris Rd. in Bradford and was born on June 12, 1924 in Czechoslovakia, the son of John and Suzana Yesanko.He was educated in Toronto, attending Western Technical Secondary School and George Brown College.On November 1, 1950 he was married to Caroline Kohar in Toronto.He enlisted in the armed services on January 20, 1944, receiving his discharge as a private on October 2, 1945.Mr. Yesanko attended Holy Martyrs of Japan Roman Catholic Church where the funeral service was held December 6.He is survived by his wife Caroline, children Jane (Mrs. Y. Gaurin) of Willowdale, Robert, Karen, and Johnny of Bradford.He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Suzana Yesanko of Toronto, a sister, Mrs. Mary Hess, and one grandchild.Among those attending the funeral were Gustav and Mary Hess of Calgary, Alberta.Pallbearers were Steve Karpik and Peter Kohar of Toronto, John Molokach, John Kavchak, Frank Jonkman, and Ladislav Dudo of Bradford.Rev. Emidio Cremona conducted the funeral service, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill.

Robert Chapman in the Lewis Funeral Home chapel for Ruth Marguerite Yeomans (nee Pickard) of 66 Scanlon Ave., Bradford.Mrs. Yeomans died Mar. 1 in York County Hospital. She was born 73 years ago in Farron's Point, Ont.Her husband, Robert Vincent Yeomans predeceased her in February of 1962. The couple had been married in Hamilton in 1920.Mrs. Yeomans came to Bradford in 1948 and was a member of the United Church Women's Institute, the former school board and a Library Board member. She issued vehicle license plates in Bradford for 20 years.Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George (June) Wartman of Bradford, Mrs. Harold (Violet) Morrison of Thornhill, Mrs. Len (Bette) Hare of Bradford, Mrs. Harold (Gloria) Morrison of Richmond Hill; three sons, Robert of Kingston, Hobert of Vancouver, B.C., and James of Belleville. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Description : Death came with startling suddenness to Mr. Hobert V. Yeomans on the morning of Thursday, February 22, when he was found after he had gone to push some snow off a roof from a window, at his home. Mr. Yeomans had known he had a heart condition and had been careful not to overexercise for some time.Born at Petworth, Ontario, Mr. Yeomans received his education at Collins Bay and Kingston. He served in World Wars I and II and was an automobile mechanic by trade.In March 1948, Mr. Yeomans and his family moved from Kingston to Bradford, where they immediately took an active part in town and church activities. Mr. Yeomans served on Council and was very regular in attendance at the United Church, of which he was a member. He had been, and was, until the time of his death, the issuer of motor vehicle licenses for this area.Mr. Yeomans is survived by his wife, the former Ruth M. Pickard, whom he married in Hamilton in 1920; and a family of seven, namely, June (Mrs. George Wartman), Bradford; Robert, Kingston; Violet (Mrs. H. Morrison), Toronto; Bette (Mrs. L. Hare), Bradford; Hobert Jr., Bradford; Gloria, Bradford; James, Bradford, and fifteen grandchildren.The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, February 24, from Bradford United Church, with temporary entombment at Mount Albert. Rev. F. G. MacTavish of Bradford United Church conducted the service.The pallbearers were A. W. Spence, E. A. Tapp, F. Gregory, D. Semple, A. L. Veale and C. Tapp.
