These photographs, maps, and files were part of a donation to the library from the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. The pictures were taken by municipal workers and staff between around 1989 and 2001. The entire collection consists of approx. 366 photos and various documents.
Contains articles and photographs of Canada's Centennial celebrations around West Gwillimbury. Some photographs were donated by Jean and Rob Keffer (Mayor of Bradford West Gwillimbury 2014-2022), while others came from the newspapers of the time.
The May Tea and Bake Sale was the last social event to be held in the Loyal True Blue Hall by Senior Citizens of the Friendship Club. Club meetings and events have been held at the hall for 24 years. In the future events will be held at the new Senior Citizens' Centre on Blake Street. Part of the centennial festivities was the opening of the district community centre for which residents contributed close to $100,000. The most popular sport in village community at the time was hockey, and the village acquired a new team that year.
