Description : Mr. Wilfred Bell, a lifelong resident of Tecumseth and West Gwillimbury Townships, passed away quietly at his home, R.R. 1, Cookstown, on Tuesday, Oct. 2, after a short illness.Mr. Bell, only son of the late Richard Bell and Deborah Carter, was a farmer and spent almost all of his 78 years in his chosen profession. He was an Anglican, having attended St. Luke's Church, Pinkerton, from childhood. He was an Orangeman in former years and in politics a Conservative.He is survived by his wife, Sarah Letitia Aspden, two sons, Earl E. of Cookstown; H. Ivan of Picton; two sisters, Mrs. Thos. Robinson (Belinda) of Cookstown and Mrs. E. Heppersault (Margaret) of North Carolina, and six grandchildren.Funeral services were held from the Hughes Funeral Home on Oct. 4 to St. John's Anglican Church, Cookstown, thence to Beeton Union Cemetery for burial.Pallbearers were John Robinson, Russell Copeland, Norman Copeland, Osler Copeland, Ed Bell and Leonard Selby.Flower bearers were six neighbours, Elmer Webber, Dalton Meher, Borden Andrews, Lloyd Coburn, Don Brown and Allan Houghton.
