John and his wife Peggy Saville of Orange City, Iowa. Dear brother of Gordon Saville and Edith Smith. Dear grandfather of Wendy Lapp, Jay Johnson, Sean and Michel McDermott, Holly, Poppy and Megan Saville. Dear great grandfather of Ryan and Steven Lapp, Sarah and Andrew Johnson. Private family service was held at the Lathangue and Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St. Bradford. Followed by cremation. Dear father of Carl. Dear brother of Bertha Siren. Friends called at Lathangue and Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St. Bradford. Service was held in the chapel on Saturday January 9, 1993 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.

"Dr. John R. Brown, a professor at the University of Toronto who studied the effects of pesticides on workers in the Holland Marsh, died Saturday at the age of 57. In April this year Dr. Brown warned than an important (missing part of the article). Dr. Brown qualified as a medical doctor in London, England, in 1953. He received a PhD in applied physiology. After coming to Canada in 1959 he lectured at the University of Toronto in science, environmental health, and industrial health. Dr. Brown was blind in one eye since childhood and became almost totally blind in 1969, but he continued to work with the help of his wife, Helena, and son, David Bartholomew. He was the author of four technical books, president of the Health League of Canada, and chairman of the national committee of employment for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind."

Born at Bond Head, Mr. Fisher was a graduate of Upper Canada College. For a time he engaged in farming at Thompsonville and Ivy and later became associate with the insurance business in Alliston and Barrie. Surviving are two sons, Dr. R.E. Fisher, Toronto, and Dr. C.M. Fisher, Chicago, Ill."
