Accident still under investigation

"Occurrences investigated by the officers of the Bradford OPP during the week included 11 traffic accidents in which one person was killed and six persons were injured.
On the morning of Nov. 1, Nancy Thedoru of Toronto was killed when the car driven by her husband George was involved in a collision with a pick up truck driven by Frank Anzil of Klienburg. Mr. Anzil's wife Tina was a passenger in the truck. Mr. Theodoru remains at Sunnybrook Medical Centre.
Mr. Anzil is in intensive care in stable condition at York County Hospital. His wife has been transferred to St. Michael's Hospital.
OPP are still investigating the accident, which occurred at Highways 11 and 89, near Gilford. No charges have been laid as yet.
Bradford OPP investigated 42 occurrences during the week, including two drivers charged with excess alcohol. Also, five liquor related charges were laid."

ANDREWS, Gladys Mae (Simpson), suddenly at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, August 16, 1989, in her 46th year. Gladys Andrews, previously of Gilford and most recently Foxboro, beloved wife of Vimy, beloved mother of Kimberly and Shawn, still at home. Beloved daughter of Grace Simpson and the late Archie Simpson of Gilford, dear sister of Mary Dawe (Harvey), Albert Simpson (Shirley), Alice Ritchie (Lawrence), Ronald Simpson (Joan), Diana Davey (Roy), George Simpson (Margaret), Ruth Verrips (Dick), Elsie Visser, Robert Simpson (Julie), Kenneth Simpson (Marianne), Shawn Simpson (Diane), Patrick Simpson (Sandy), Heather Simpson, Sheila Visser (Rick), the late James Simpson and Tim Taylor (Joanne). Gladys was loved by 72 nieces and nephews. She will ever be remembered by many children in Foxboro whom she babysat. Funeral services were held at the McConnel Funeral Home, Madoc, Ont. on August 19, 1989 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Eldorado Cemetery, Eldorado. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Description : Muriel Elizabeth, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Kneeshaw, Gilford, married Stanley Eugene, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Cairns, Bradford. Rev. W. Spurgeon Butt officiated and Mr. Frank Dutcher of Barrie, uncle of the bride, played the wedding music. The bride was attended by Miss Marion Bell of Gilford, and groomsman, as well as cousin, was Mr. Milton Fisher of Toronto. The ushers were Mr. Gordon Kneeshaw, brother of the bride, and Mr. Jack Richardson of Toronto, cousin of the groom. The wedding took place at Ebenezer United Church and the reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Upon returning from a honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Cairns will reside on the groom's farm near Bradford.

COGO, Denise at York County Hospital, Newmarket on Tuesday January 12, 1988. Denise Lapierre of R.R.-1, Gilford, in her 48th year, beloved wife of Louis Cogo, loving mother of Louise and her husband Kelly Ruttan of Innisfil and Michael and his wife Karen of Gilford, dear grandmother of Stephen and Timothy Ruttan, dear sister of Frances, Jean, Lisa, Theresa, Madeline, Emil, Alside, Marcel, Raymond, John Claude, Michele, Jack, Frank and Fred. Loving daughter of Mary Ann and the later Hector Lapierre. Friends called at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St., Bradford.
Service was held at Ansnorveldt Christian Reform Church on Thursday January 14, 1988 at 2:00 pm. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetary [sic]. Donations to the Cat Scan at York County Hospital Foundation, Newmarket would be appreciated.

The wedding took place at Holy Martyrs' Church, Bradford. Rev. F. R. McGinn officiated.The bride was given in marriage by her Godfather, Mr. Edmund Walker of Victoria Harbour. Miss Mary Gibbons was her sister's bridesmaid. Mr. John Cronan was his brother's groomsman and two other brothers, Harold and Francis Cronan, were the ushers.Mr. and Mrs. Cronan will take up residence on the groom's farm at Gilford.
