Dear mother of Margaret Anne (Peggy) and her husband James Chaput of Winnipeg and Robert Earle (Robbie) of Vancouver. Dear daughter of Dorothy and the late Edgar Jackson of Lefroy. Dear sister of Evelyn and her husband Dean Bergerson of Pickering, Murray Jackson and his wife Bonnie of Midhurst, William Jackson and his wife Darlene of Bradford. Dear daughter-in-law of Louise Evans and the late Jack Culbert. Dear sister-in-law of June and her husband Doug Batten, Gloria and her husband William Freifield, Donald Culbert and his wife Elaine. Dear grandmother of Melissa and Ryan Chaput. Friends called at the Lathangue and Skwarchuck Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St. Bradford. Service was held in the chapel on Tuesday January 5, 1993 at 2 p.m. Interment Bond Head Cemetery.

Padre Hopkins had a distinguished 32 year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, including service with the RCHA in Korea in 1953 and the first Canadian contingent of the United Nations Emergency Force in the Sinai. He was the first Chaplain awarded the Order of Military Merit and ended his military career as Chaplain General. ...
