Mary Eva Pearl (Holt) Andrews, beloved wife of Walter Andrews and dear mother of Velma (Mrs. Gordon Madill), Guelph; Berniece (Mrs. Roland Helmer), Haley's Station and Harold of Bradford. Two brothers Mellville and Wilfred both deceased. Also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends called at Hughes Funeral Home, Cookstown. Service was held in Newton Robinson United Church on July 6, 2 p.m. Interment in Alliston Union Cemetery.

Description : Mrs. Margaret Andrews, a life-long resident, died March 10 just two weeks prior to her 101st birthday.Mrs. Andrews was born in Tecumseth Township in 1881, on the same farm her father was born on, where her grandfather settled in 1835.She attended S.S. 11 Wilcox (Tecumseth) where her seven children attended, and also her granddaughter.She was a life member of United Church Women, Women's Institute and Senior Citizens of Canada.Her life revolved around her family, her church and her community. In 1963, she was presented with a Bible for 50 years of Sunday School teaching. In 1975, she was honoured with a certificate of recognition from the United Church (Bond Head) 1902-1975. On March 26, 1979, a beautiful window was dedicated in appreciation of her numerous years of work in the church.In 1977, due to ill health, she became a resident of Beeton Manor.She celebrated her 100th birthday on March 24, 1981.She will be sadly missed by her family: Bill (Bradford), Adeline Stickley (Detroit), Dorothy Ohlson (Downsview), Helen Hughes (Downsview), and Daveda Richardson (Beeton).Also, seven grandchildren: Robert Stickley, Wayne, Glenn, Garry Hughes, Margaret (Richardson)
Lotto, James Sherman and James Conlin (deceased).Great-grandchildren: Michael and Sean Conlin, Kent, Chad and Gavin Sherman, Patricia (Stickley) Fisher, Scott Hughes, Joe and Jason
Lotto, Derek Hughes, and Clint Hughes, also one great-great-grandson Adam Fisher.

Andrews, 65, of R.R. 4, Seaforth, died of a heart attack at home Saturday, January 26.Born in West Gwillimbury Township, he was the son of the late John T. Andrews and Mary McConnell.Educated in Simcoe County, he became a poultryman, left for Seaforth in 1938.Surviving are: his wife, the former Edna Pickett of Clinton, whom he married in 1944; a son, John W. of R.R. 4, Seaforth; sisters, Mrs. Claude (Edith) Owen of Willowdale, Mrs. Robert (Laura) Owen of Whitby and Mrs. Dawson (Marguite) Feaver of Toronto.Funeral service was held Tuesday, January 31 with Rev. T. E. Hancock officiating, assisted by Rev. Dwight Strain, Clinton. Temporary entombment was in the Pioneer Memorial Mausoleum.Pallbearers were: Wilson McCartney, Milton Dietz, Henry Ziler, Wilfred Coleman, Ken Moore and Alex Chesney. Flower bearers were: Robert McCartney and Bruce Coleman.
