Description : Gladiolus decorated the Scotch Settlement Presbyterian Church on Saturday afternoon, October 2, at 3 o'clock, for an autumn wedding when Margaret Elvira, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Norman McKay, Bradford, became the bride of Bruce Edward Lonsway, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lonsway of Dundalk. Rev. Carson McLarnon of Toronto officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride's aunt, Mrs. Milton Reynolds of Beeton, played the wedding music and Mrs. Carson McLarnon was soloist, singing The Lord's Prayer" before the ceremony and "God Be With You" during the signing of the register. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a white satin gown over a crinoline made with long sleeves and a nylon net yoke bordered with sequins. The long skirt had a shadow lace front panel and ended in a chapel train. Her fingertip nylon veil was held by a coronet of sequins and she carried a cascade of red roses and white stephanotis. The maid of honour Miss Jean Lautenslager of Kitchener wore a pinafore style gown of shrimp lace and tulle trimmed with sequins with a long-sleeved lace jacket. She wore a head band of lace and sequins and carried a cascade of yellow 'mums with blue statis. The flower girl Miss Elizabeth Faris daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Faris of Newmarket wore a gown of shrimp taffeta and carried a basket of yellow 'mums and blue statis. The three bridesmaids Miss Gwen Lonsway sister of the groom Miss Verna Hamilton of Schomberg and Miss Grace MacDonald of Bradford wore similarly styled gowns and head pieces of yellow. They carried cascades of bronze 'mums. Mr. Jim Lonsway was his brother's groomsman and the ushers were Messrs. Norman McKay brother of the bride Ivan Welcher and Bob Dunning brother-in-law of the bride. A reception for ninety-five guests was held at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. McKay mother of the bride received wearing a navy blue crepe dress trimmed with lace with a navy hat and long pink gloves. Her corsage was red sweetheart roses. Mrs. Lonsway mother of the groom who also received was in forest green and was wearing a gold hat and green gloves and a corsage of Talis-"

Description : Former superintendent of the Coroner's Building, Lombard Street, William harvey Belfrey, age 65, died Wednesday at his home, 37 Wheeler Avenue. He drove the city's first motor ambulance. Mr. Belfrey joined the City Health Department as an ambulance driver in 1914 under the late Dr. C.J.O. Hastings, medical officer of health. Later he became superintendent of the Coroner's Building, retiring on pension in June of this year. Born in Bradford, Mr. Belfrey came to Toronto when a boy. At Brock Avenue School he was a pupil of Alexander Muir, author of The Maple Leaf Forever." He was a member of Canada Lodge A.F. and A.M. and a past patron of the Eastern Star. Surviving are his wife Edith Maud Coulter Belfrey; one daughter Mrs. W. R. Broadaecker Toronto; one son William John Belfrey New York; two brothers Walter St. Catharines and Frank Toronto and two sisters Mrs. J.G. Mear and Mrs. W. Oldham Toronto."

Description : The home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Neilly, Churchill, Ont., was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday, Dec. 9th, when their only daughter, Viola Irene, was united in marriage to Mr. Albert Ralph Dale of McKeesport, Pa., U.S.A.,younger son of Mr. John Dale, Gilford. The bride, who was unattended, was given away by her father, and looked charming in a gown of rose flat silk canton with trimmings of gold lace, and wore baudeau in her hair. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. S. McEwen, the bridal couple standing under an arch of evergreen and white decorated with bells. The bridal chores was played by Mrs. Lorne E. Neilly, sister-in-law of the bride. After receiving congratulations, the guests numbering thirty sat down to a delectable wedding dinner. The groom's gift to the bride was a handsome cheque, to the organist an ivory set. The presents were both numerous and costly, including a number of cheques, showing the high esteem in which the young couple are held. The evening was spent in games and social intercourse. The bride's grandmother, Mrs. John Steele, now in her ninetieth year, was present. Mr. and Mrs. Dale will leave shortly for McKeesport, Pa., where they will reside.
