Tyrwhitt/McClocklin house on Concession 7, Lot 11, . It was built by Lt.-Col. Richard Tyrwhitt, who called it "Farmcote." The property was bought in 1911 by Felix Smelser. He and his sons Frank and Norman farmed there and his grandson Jim McClocklin (son of Elena Smelser and her husband James H. McClocklin) lived in this house until the land was sold for industrial use and the house torn down.
Jill Foley, winner of the Bradford Public Library's "Name the Dinosaur" contest. Dinosaur was made by the Summer Reading Club and named "Bruno Bronty." Summer 1989.
The Woods house on the 8th Line is a full two storey later Victorian house with centre gable and bracketed eaves. The veranda detail appears to date from the 1890s.
