Gabriel and Betty Bonczos of Bradford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. The couple was married in 1930 in Budapest, Hungary and moved to Canada 31 years ago. Mr. Bonczos retired five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bonczos have three daughters and five grandchildren. Congratulations to them both.
Bradford Mayor Roy Gordon (left) presents Charles Evans with the Queen's Jubilee medal for his many years of service to the town. A fervent royalist, Mr. Evans thanked former clerk-treasurer Margaret Davey, and former assessor Fred Collings for their support. Mr. Evans, a former Reeve of Bradford, is a Queen's Counsel, and practices law with the firm Evans and Evans.
Edith Cutting presents Bradford's oldest citizen Walter King with a plaque commemorating his 95th birthday last week. Mrs. Cutting and Mr. King helped found the Gay 60s senior citizens club several years ago. The club was jammed with members last week helping Mr. King celebrate the occasion.
