Uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Member of the famed Bradford Six" and Newmarket Redmen Hockey teams 1926-1933. 48-year employee of Office Specialty Newmarket. Veteran WWII. Longtime active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #426 Newmarket. Visitation at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home Newmarket. Interment in Newmarket Cemetery. Memorial donations to the York County Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Grandfather of Joshua, Amanda, Jacob and Caleb van Ry; Vaughan, Jamie and Christopher Thompson; Meaghan McClymont, Zachary and Hilary Jane Harway; and Scott Smith. Brother of Enny DeBest of Bradford and the late Casey and Gary. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Rested in the Logan Funeral Home, Parry Sound. Interment in Hillcrest Mausoleum and Fairholme Cemetery, Dunchurch in the spring.
