"Suddenly as a result of an accident on Tuesday, March 27, 2001. Kyle Andrews, in his 41st year, of RR6 Aylmer, formerly of Bradford. Beloved husband of Carol, loving Daddy of Katie and Ezra. Loving son of Barbara of Bradford and Harold of Haliburton. Dear brother of Debbie and Ron Vink, Dianne Andrews and friend John Keast. Shawn and Michelin Horner. Memorial Service was held at Straffordville United Church, Saturday, March 31.

A Memorial Gathering in Kyle's home community to celebrate his life will be held at the Institute Hall in Newton Robinson on Sunday, April 8th from 1:30-4:00 p.m. A memorial will be given by Rev. Logie at 2:30 p.m."

Description : The death of Mr. John Boddy, of this village, was referred to last week by nearly all our county exchanges. In our obituary notice we overlooked mentioning the fact that deceased had been a county magistrate for many years, and was also a staunch Conservative and a strong admirer of the late Sir John A. Macdonald. For upwards of thirty years he was the honoured treasurer of the South Simcoe Conservative Association, and in his day rendered valuable service to his party. The immediate cause of his death was an affection of the kidneys.

Padre Hopkins had a distinguished 32 year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, including service with the RCHA in Korea in 1953 and the first Canadian contingent of the United Nations Emergency Force in the Sinai. He was the first Chaplain awarded the Order of Military Merit and ended his military career as Chaplain General. ...

Evans, D. Arthur (former MPP for Simcoe Centre, Past Master of Simcoe Lodge #79, A.F. & A.M., Bradford). Suddenly at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Thursday, December 14, 1989. Arthur Evans of RR#2, Bradford in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Eileen Dixon and the late Audrey Kerr. Dear father of John, Don, Robin and Cathy Arruda, dear brother of Norma Noble of Bond Head. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St. Bradford. Service was held in the chapel on Monday, December 18, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery, Coulson's Hill. Donations to the Cardiac Care Unit at York County Hospital Foundation, Newmarket, would be appreciated.

Description: One of the happiest occasions in Mr. William C. Davey's life was the 50th anniversary of the forming of the Hunt Club which bore his name, the Davey Hunt Club. The half-century mark in that club was reached in 1947 and the anniversary was marked by an honorary banquet for the veteran head of the club. At that time many thought the ambition to reach the fifty years as an active member of the club had spurred the elderly man to keep going, but 1948 found him back in camp as he has been each intervening year. Last Wednesday, November 11, a message came from the hunt camp, located near Burwash, Mileage 98, that the Club's leader would hunt no more. Among his most cherished friends, including his own sons, and amid the scenes he had always enjoyed, the old man suffered a heart seizure and passed on within a few minutes. He was in his 90th year." ...

Schlarb, Gerand and Sylvia are pleased to announce the arrival of their daughter, Stephanie Sylvia (little sister for Ryan). Stephanie was born December 1, 1989, at 9:53 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. Happy grandparents are Mr. and Mr.s Alfred Baumgartner and Mr. Henry Schlarb and Elazabeth Schlarb. Many thanks to Dr. Barcza and the maternity staff at York County Hospital.

I'm finally here! Elinor and Steve Geniole (Schlarb) are tickled pink with the arrival of Alisha Bete, making her entrance on December 20, 1990 [sic] at 9:25 p.m. and weighint in a 7 lbs. 12 ozs.
Proud grandparents are Elizabeth Schlarb from Bradford and Henry Schlarb from Toronto and Sue and Ron Geniole fromKeswick. Great grandmother Pearl Geniole from Keswick.
Thanks to the nurses on the Maternity Ward and Drs. Joutsie and Rouselle, York County Hospital.
