Bugler, Lillian Martin obituary

Description : Wife of the late Harry Bugler, who died in May 1945. Sister of Tom Martin of St. Thomas, step-daughter of Richard Waller and step-sister of Mrs. Mildred Gilman, both of Bradford, and step-sister of Lenwood Waller of Newmarket. Had lived all her life in Bradford. Had suffered poor health for a number of years, and life had been difficult since the death of her husband. Two weeks previous had returned to work at a local restaurant. Suffered a chill Saturday, April 16, which worsened her arthritis. Was heard coughing about 3 a.m. Thursday by a friend who lived in part of her home and died shortly afterwards. Funeral at home on Saturday. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Services conducted by Rev. H.G. Blake of Trinity Anglican Church.

Collings), Bradford; Melville G., Bradford; Norman W., Toronto; Beatrice (Mrs. Emerson Thorpe, Woodville; Ethel (Mrs. George Stewart), Bradford; and Eldon, Toronto. Sister to Mrs. Chisholm of Cleveland, Ohio (last of a family of seven). Predeceased by her husband four years previous, daughters Minnie (Mrs. C. Clappin) and Nell (Mrs. Jas. Balfour), and an infant son, George.
Born near Cornwall, Ontario. Family moved to Angus when she was young, where she met her husband, William G. Waldruff, to whom she was married for 68 years. Married in Allandale. Lived in Angus, Colwell, Barrie, and Allandale, coming to Bradford in 1901. Funeral from home by Rev. F.G. MacTavish of Bradford United Church. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers (son-in-law, two grandsons, and three grandsons-in-law): Emerson Thorpe, Woodville; Norman E. Collings, Bradford; Orin Thorpe, Hamilton; Ken Blevins, Toronto; Gordon Crutcher, Thornhill; and Robt. Riddell, King.

Father of Phyllis, Lorna, Madeleine, Harold, Arthur, George and Wallace. Brother of Mrs. Arthur Gale of Beaverton. Uncle of two nephews, one in England. Brother died in the First World War. Born in Thornford, England. Came to Canada in 1924. Lived in Lucknow and Port Perry before coming to Bradford in 1928. Worked at the Bradford Bakery with the late Mr. Fred Gowland. Took over the business with the owner's son-in-law, the late Mr. Stephenson, when Mr. Gowland moved to Penetanguishene. After Mr. Stephenson's death, Mr. Hunt continued to run the business until his own retirement. Member of the Oddfellows' Lodge. Funeral March 10 from Trinity Anglican Church, Rev. H.G. Blake officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Coulson's Hill.
