Description : Thomas James Steele, native of West Gwillimbury Township, who left here over fifty years ago to farm in Manitoba and later retired to Brandon, passed away in that city on December 18.Surviving are his widow, four daughters and two sons: Mrs. Bert Moore, Piapot, Sask.; Morwood of Midnapore, Alta.; Llye with the R.C.A.F. at Trenton, Ont.; Miss Laura in Khartown, Africa; Mrs. Bernard Kelher, Brandon, and Miss Edith in Winnipeg; two brothers and four sisters, Frank at Gilford, Ont.; Norman at Macoum, Sask.; Mrs. Edwin Kneeshaw (Clara), Mrs. Stetheam Kneeshaw (Alma), Mrs. Wilfred Neilly (Martha), Gilford; and Mrs. Art Griffith (Edna), Vancouver, B.C. One brother, Ernest, died in 1944. The funeral service was held at Brockie Chapel on December 20, with interment in Brandon Cemetery.
