Banting, a former resident of Tecumseth Township and a native of Thompsonville, passed away suddenly at his home in Langstaff on Wednesday, August 17th, in his 70th year.Born at Thompsonville in 1886, the deceased was the son of the late James and Olive Banting. After moving to West Gwillimbury Township, he married Pearl Lowery, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Lowery of Tecumseth Township, who predeceased him seven years ago.Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. G. L. Issac (Helen), of Camp Borden and Mrs. J. T. Bradley (Dorothy), of Toronto.The funeral service was held in Trinity United Church, Beeton, on Saturday afternoon with Rev. W. G. Gardner conducting the services. Interment was made in Trinity United Cemetery, Beeton.

Description : George Edgar Moir, a life-long resident of the Cookstown district, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, where he had been a patient for a week with heart trouble.Born in Cookstown in 1881, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Moir, he farmed in Innisfil for many years.Mr. Moir is survived by a brother, James Moir of Barrie; and twin sisters, Mrs. William Copeland (Maud) and Miss Mabel Moir, both of Cookstown. Two brothers, John and Ogie Moir predeceased him.The funeral held on Aug. 12, was from the Hughes Funeral Home in Cookstown with service conducted by Rev. Mr. Barnard of Thornton United Church and with music by Lorne Arnold.Interment was in Alliston Union Cemetery and the following were pallbearers: Carl Copeland, Lakeview; Clarence Copeland, Barrie; Joe Roulston, Calvin Jennett, George Davis and George Armstrong, Cookstown.
