Flt.-Sgt. Harold Wilson Reported Missing After Air Bombing Operations

"Mr. and Mrs. Daniel wilson, of Bond head, have been notified by Ottawa that their second son, Flt.-Sgt. Harold (Chub) Wilson, is missing after air operations over enemy territory. The entire crew of his craft failed to return and as yet there is no information regarding their fate, although authorities assure the parents that information is being sought through the Red Cross regarding them."

After her passing, a group of research assistants are working to verify the research and share this publicly. Original database exists as an online spreadsheet. Description : Husband to Agnes Cerswell (nee Speers), father to Mrs. Jeffery (Christeen) of Detriot, Mrs. Heppleston (Jean) of Toronto, Mrs. Kract (Alice) of Niagra Falls NY and one son, Gordon who died at war. He died in his Bradford home in his 74th year and will be interred at Bond Head Cemetery.

Two World War I medals. The medal on the left is a British War Medal, awarded to all who saw action from 1914-1918 in World War I and all who served in Russia from 1919-1920. The one on the right was made by Andrew Neilly, a jeweller in Bradford, and was given to soldiers returning from World War I by the community of Bond Head.
