"A large crowd was on hand for the 15th annual graduation exercises held at Sir William Osler School last Thursday. Thirty seven grade eight students received their graduation diplomas. The graduation diplomas were presented by the principal, Mel Mitchell and teacher Jim Breen. A number of other awards were also presented. Winner of the penmanship award, presented by Miss Ethyle Breedon, was Pamela Barnes. The citizenship award, donated by the Imperial Daughters of the Empire, was Kevin Horner. The award was presented by Mrs. June Brown. The Tec-We-Gwill Women's Institute Trophy for English, presented by Mrs. Bruce Keffer went to Douglas Jessop. He also won the Fisher's Corner Old Boy's Trophy for general proficiency, presented by Mrs. Orville Hughes. The valedictorian address was made by Jan McQuiggan. "Katie Merschilz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Merschilz, Thornton Avenue, Bradford, received her secretarial science diploma from Ryerson Polytechnical School recently. Katie is presently employed by the Minister of Government Services."

"Mrs. Linda Carol Graham of RR 1 , Lefroy, received a bachelor of arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University at the convocation exercises held recently in Barrie. Mrs. Graham is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Barron of Bradford."

"Peter Born, son of Mr. and Mrs. Josef Born of Bradford, received his Bachelor of Science honors degree in geology from Carleton University in Ottawa in early November. A graduate of Bradford District High School, he is currently enrolled in a Master of Science geology program at Laurentian University in Sudbury.'

"Anne Everitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bev Everitt of Bradford, recently graduated from nursing course at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto."

"Janice Anne Masin, daughter of Miloslav and Anne Masin of Bradford, received a bachelor of applied arts degree in the secretarial science option. She graduated with honors on Thursday, June 2, at the spring convocation, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Toronto. Janice is employed by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Toronto."

"Donald J. Gordon, son of Joseph and Jean Gordon of RR 2, Bradford, received his law degree at a special convocation ceremony March 29. He is a graduate of Bradford District High School, Queen's University and Queen's Law School at Kingston, and the bar admission course at Osgoode Hall, Toronto. He is now associated with Douglas A. Farr of Walkerton in the practice of law."

"Patricia Crossland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Crossland of Bradford, received the degree of bachelor of arts in sociology on Saturday, May 28 at the spring convocation of McMaster University, Hamilton. Pat will continue her studies at the Institute of Child Study at University of Toronto for the next two years."

" Joyce Cairns, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Stanley Cairns of Bradford, graduated from the legal secretary's course this month at the spring convocation at Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology. She was accepted a position with Blake Cassells and Graydon at Commerce Court in Toronto."
