Fondly remembered by Kenneth, wife Jacqueline, Judith, husband Stanley, Virginia and husband Rick. Grandma will be greatly missed by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the kindness and attention of Dr. Kettle, the staff at Georgian Manor, Huronia District Hospital, her wonderful neighbours and the kind ladies of Home Care. Private family arrangements will be made at a later date and memorial donations can be made to the South Lake Simcoe Regional Health Care Centre, Newmarket, Ontario.

Funeral Service was held in St. John's Anglican Church, 6th Line, New Tecumseth on Saturday November 22, 1997 at 1:30p.m. followed by interment in St. John's Cemetery. Donations, in Bill's memory, to the Canadian Diabetes Association, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Description : On Saturday, October 7, 1972, Ida (Baynes) Ritchie, wife of the late Fred Ritchie passed away at the home of her daughter Evalyn (Mrs. Irwin Phoenix) at RR 2, Denfield.Slightly more than five years ago, she suffered a stroke and, in the years following, she suffered several minor ones, each of which caused her to become weaker. In spite of being confined to a wheelchair all these years, she maintained her usual cheerful disposition, even when she lost her speech.She is survived by her daughter and by a sister, Laura Baynes, and a brother William Baynes, both of Barrie. She was predeceased by two sisters Mrs. Gordon McCutcheon and Mrs. William Kneeshaw and in 1947, her husband, Fred Ritchie.Following the service in Lewis Funeral Home, Bradford, bruial took place in St. John's Cemetery, Coulson's Hill. The pallbearers were six nephews: Clarence Ritchie, Edgar Ritchie, John Kneeshaw, Clarence Baynes, Ken McCutcheon and Walter Lloyd.
