Harris passed away suddenly in hospital at Brandon, Manitoba, on Tuesday, January 8. Mrs. Harris had not been feeling well and went to the hospital for observation. Here she suffered a stroke which resulted in her death.The deceased was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Jelly Sutherland and from childhood until the time of her marriage she spent holidays and weekends at the home of her uncle, the late Samuel Jelly, and on these frequent visits she became well known among the young people of the neighbourhood.After her marriage to Cyril Harris in Toronto, the couple moved to Glen Souris, Manitoba, where they had since resided and where Mrs. Harris had been interestd in church and community affairs. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Glen Souris, being church organist for a number of years, as well as a valued member of the Ladies' Aid and the W.M.S. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband; one son, Kenneth; and one daughter, Miss Irene. Her cousin, William Jelly of Bradford, left immediately upon receipt of the message of her death and attended the funeral which was held in Brandon. Interment was in Brandon cemetery.
