Description : Daughter of Mrs Stewart and the late Mr Stanley Stewart of Bradford wed son of Mrs Blackwell and the late Mr H.L. Blackwell of Bradford in Hart House Chapel. Rev. Kingsley Joblin officiated. Mrs. R.M. King was the bride's attendant and Dr. R.M. King was groomsman. The couple will reside in Toronto.

The May Tea and Bake Sale was the last social event to be held in the Loyal True Blue Hall by Senior Citizens of the Friendship Club. Club meetings and events have been held at the hall for 24 years. In the future events will be held at the new Senior Citizens' Centre on Blake Street. A highlight of the Beeton Centennial celebrations held last weekend was the mammoth steam and gas engine parade. Area steam engine buffs exhibited their machines in the parade. A float from Beeton senior citizens was also entered despite the inclement weather.
