Description : Funeral service for the late Thomas Richard Sheppard, who passed away suddenly at the home of his brother, George, Bond Head, Ont., May 8, 1963, was held in Lathangue-Kilkenny Funeral Home, Friday, May 10. Canon C. R. P. Hearn conducted the services.Born in Watford, England, on Sept. 20, 1889, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sheppard. As a young man he served with the 48th Highlanders in World War I from 1914 to 1918, returning to Canada in April, 1919. Interment was made in Bond Head Cemetery. Pallbearers were six nephews: Thomas Sheppard, Bert Sheppard, Richard Sheppard, Brian Sheppard, Toronto, Ellwood Carter, Alliston, and Joe Mooney, Bradford.
