Description : Although having had a heart condition which required care, the death of Mr. Edgar Willis at his home in Bradford on the evening of Monday, May 16, was most unexpected and came as a great shock to his wife who was alone with him at the time.Mr. Willis was born near Bogartown 73 years ago and spent the major portion of his life in that district where he was a farmer. In 1941 he came to Bradford where he had been employed at Spence Lumber Co.He is survived by his wife, Grace, whom he married in Toronto on July 27, 1940. Also surviving is one brother, Dr. Howard Willis of Vancouver, B.C., and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Powell of Toronto.The funeral was held from the Lathangue-Kilkenny Funeral Home on Friday, May 20. Rev. F. G. MacTavish conducted the services and interment was in Newmarket Cemetery.The pallbearers were from his place of employment, neighbours, and two nephews, namely, Keith Noble, Jim Downey, Elmer Stur, Herbert Oliver, Willis D. Murray and Robert Murray.
