Description : A resident of Bradford during the past twenty-two years, Mrs. Paul Placko passed away in York County Hospital, Newmarket, on Thursday, January 20, 1966, following an illness of about nine weeks.Mrs. Placko, whose maiden name was Helen Rohac, was born at Nove Sady, Czechoslovakia, sixty-four years ago. In September, 1926, she married Paul Placko, at Nove Sady, and they resided in their native land until coming to Canada in 1935, first settling at Montreal, and coming to Bradford in 1944, where they had since made their home.A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bradford, Mrs. Placko had many friends among members of the congregation of that church.Mrs. Placko is survived by her husband and two sons, Paul Jr. and Milan of Bradford; and two sisters, Mrs. K. Tanka and Mrs. M. Marehalin in Czechoslovakia.The funeral was held on January 22 from Trinity Lutheran Church, Bradford. Rev. W. Kovac conducted the services and interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.The pallbearers were Messrs. A. Bartko, S. Duga, P. Kolarik Sr., M. Marcin, G. Vdovjak and J. Vrablik.
