The kidnappers stole the vehicle of Mrs. Petro and took her grandson Ronald with them because he was in the backseat when they stole it. About 45 minutes later the kidnappers released Ronald at a gas station where he called the police and was safely returned to his grandmother.

The couple was married in the bride's home north of Alliston January 7, 1920. Tecumseth Reeve Roy Gardhouse, Simcoe County Warden Allan McLean, and former Simcoe Centre MPP Arthur Evans were on hand to bring greetings from all levels of government, including Queen Elizabeth. The Kneeshaws live in a home on a lot purchased from Roy and Bea Dixon, who themselves celebrated 60 years of marriage last week. Congratulations!

The event ended with the Lord's Prayer and a lunch served by Mrs. Phillips, Mrs. Green and Mrs. Dixon.
