"STODDART, VERA JANEL Peacefully passed away at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Lindsay on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Vera Stoddart (nee Fenwick) of Lindsay and formerly of Bond Head and Toronto in her 81st year. Leloved wife of Wilson for almost 59 years. Loving mom of Harry (Silvia) and Sandra (Peter) Labor. Loving grandma of Connor (Rebecca), Cavan, Harrison, Abigayle and Rebekah; Teigan and Sarah. Cherished sidter of Roy (Elaine) Fenwick. She will be dearly missed. She met life's challenges with grace, a quiet conviction, and persecerance. From her humble beginnnings as a city girl, she earned the respect of the farming community such that she became the first woman honoured as the Simcoe County Farmer of the Year (19990). She loved life on the farm, cherished her family and extended community, was a dedicated historian, and found beauty in her natural surroundings. Every day that she was able to share in the splendors of nature was another day well spent. She will be sadly missed by the countless organizations for which she volunteered. Friends may be received at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. FUneral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment Bond Head Cemetery. In Vera's memory, donations may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto."

Description: After a 14 month struggle with cancer at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto on Friday, May 1, 1998, Tony Ferragine of Bradford in his 23rd year. Beloved son of Tony and Alyce. Dear brother of Chiara and Frank. Dear grandson of Francis and Chiara Ferragine, and Margaret Meyer. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Friends called at the Lathangue & Shwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation. A funeral service was held in the chapel on Monday May 4, 1998 at 11 a.m. Interment at Mt. pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. Donations to the Sarcoma Clinic at Mt. Man killed in boating accident on Holland River. A 34-year-old Toronto man was killed last Tuesday (July 15) in a boating accident just north of the Yonge Street bridge coming into Bradford. Ira Kushner fell from a boat pulling a water skier when the boat's driver swerved to avoid what he thought was an obstacle in the path of the boat and skier. According to York Regional Police, the boat hit a patch of bulrushes, and Mr. Kushner fell overboard and hit his head on the boat's propeller. He was pronounced dead on arrival at York County Hospital in Newmarket. The accident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., about one and a half miles northeast of the bridge over the Schomberg (Holland) River. The police investigation is continuing.

Description : Mr. Dudgeon, who was 70, passed away at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia.The son of David Dudgeon and Mary Ethel Ledlow, John Ledlow Dudgeon was born in Whittington, Dufferin County on January 12, 1911. He was married on May 3, 1934 to Muriel Ann McCutcheon at Corbetton and is survived by her. Mr. Dudgeon attended public school in Whittington, and high school in Mimico. He was a respected and popular chief of the Bradford police department from 1963-76 before retiring. Mr. Dudgeon was also a member of the United Church. He is survived by daughters Mary Elizabeth Graham of Bradford, and Patricia S. Ploder of Holland Landing, and five grandchildren: David Graham, Debra Graham, Kelly Graham, Denise Ploder, and Maureen Ploder. He is predeceased by a brother Donald Dudgeon and was the beloved uncle of Joan (Dudgeon) Feidler and John Dudgeon of Toronto. Friends and relatives paid their respects at the Lathangue and Skwarchuk Funeral Home, with a funeral service conducted by Rev. Kenneth Barker taking place at 1 p.m., Monday, December 28 including a police honour guard.Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orangeville in the spring. Friends and relatives attended the funeral service from London, Orillia, Toronto, Orangeville, and Collingwood. Pallbearers were Elmer Coleman, George Simmonds, Spence Moore, Henry Bell, Wm. Blanche, Jim Thompson. Flower bearer was Eric Wright and hat bearer was Bruce Davis.
