Winners of Library Draw

Children who read thirty-five books or more in the Bradford Public Library's Summer Reading Program were eligible for the Grand Prize Draw. Bradford gets New Librarian

"The Bradford Public Library has a new Chief Executive Officer. Alannah Hegedus was appointed CEO on June 6th, and already has an idea of the direction in which she would like to see library services expand...She hopes to evaluate the collection and fill in any gaps, particularly in non-fiction and reference categories..."

Miss Birdie Webb Retired Librarian Presented

"Mayor Joe Magani presided for the brief program at the social evening given in Bradford Public Library on Tuesday, April 11, called to honour Miss Birdie Webb, who is retiring after twelve years as librarian. On behalf of the Library Board and the town, Mr. R. Colangelo presented Miss Webb with a wrist watch, in appreciation of her fine service. Miss Webb expressed her thanks for this tribute. Simcoe County library was represented by Mrs. Cadogan of Barrie. Mrs. William Melbourne will carry on the duties of librarian here."

WEGWHIST meeting at the Library

Description : The West Gwillimbury History Project (WEGWHIST) meets Weds., Oct. 1st, in the Compton Room of the Bradford Library, 100 Holland Court, at 2 p.m. There are still some "missing families"... If you want your family history to be included, the Project must receive your information by October 1st! WWI Vetereans...To date, the project has the names of only 2 persons who served in WWI and returned home.
