The first S.S. #6 School was moved to the Church farm where it functioned as a barn until it was obtained by the Chambers family and moved to Bond Head where it was restored and today is used as a carpentry shop operated by the family.

S.S. # 6 Middleton School. This school was built in 1908 on the same site as the old school (first built in 1850, moved to become a barn in Bond Head) by T.D. Stoddart.

"More than 100 relatives gathered at the farm of D. Arthur Evans last weekend for a family reunion. The farm which is situated on Middletown Sideroad looked like a trailer park after more than 40 people from Detroit brought their trailers and camped right on the spot. Back row [left to right]: D. Description : Relict of the late J.W. Barry (died October 30, 1891), to whom she had been married over 50 years. Came with her husband to Bradford in 1846, where they remained for the rest of their lives. Mother of seven children: Mr. Wilson B. Scott (of Bradford), Messrs. Robert and H.C. Barry (also of Bradford), Mr. Rich. Scott (of Jefferson, Ohio), J.W. Barry (of New York), Mrs. Murphy (of Innisfil), and Mrs. Park (of Newmarket). Age: 79 years, 11 months, 5 days. Interred at Middleton cemetery.

"Dr. Bruce, of Toronto, was called here, professionally, on Saturday afternoon last to see Mr. Geo. W. Stoddart who had sustained a broken leg, at the ankle, a few days previously. The Dr. arrived here in his auto and remained a little more than an hour. We understand he expressed no fear of serious results and spoke hopefully of the break properly healing in due time."
