Description : Suddenly at her home in St. Catharines. Born in Bradford. Daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Alexander Sutherland. Wife of Fred C. Ryan. Mother of Betty (Mrs. Halder Collins) of St. Catharines. Sister of Jessie Sutherland of St. Catharines, Wilfred J. Sutherland of Portland, Oregon. 3 grandchildren. Predeceased by two brothers, Jack, killed overseas in WWI and William (Billy), drowned when a young boy. After a service in St. Catharines, the funeral was held from T. Kilkenny & Son Funeral Home, Bradford on Jan. 20. Rev. H.T. Blake officiated. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.

Description : Bessie Roberta, eldest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Alex Sutherland, to Frederick C. Ryan, manager of the Standard Bank, Unionville. The wedding took place at the residence of the bride's parents, Bradford.The ceremony was performed by Rev. Charles Ryan, of Novar, brother of the groom. Mrs. Walter Pringle, cousin of the bride, played the wedding march. The bride had graduated from the Toronto Conservatory of Music, and was a gifted pianist.The couple will reside in Unionville.

The late Mr. Ryan rested at the Darte and Son funeral residence, 39 Court St., St. Catharines, where funeral services were held Monday, January 4, 1965. Interment was made in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford.
