WATSON Charles B. (Charlie) (Past Master of Simcoe Lodge -- 79 A.F. and A.M.) -- At Simcoe Manor, Beeton on Friday, May 15, 1987. Charlie Watson of Schomberg, beloved husband of Mildred Ferguson and the late Dorothy Scott. Dear brother of Jean Watson of Aurora and Isobel (Mrs Norman Coutts of Barrie). Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends called at Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Street, Bradford. Service was held in the chapel Monday, May 18, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery. Masonic Service was held under the auspices of Simcoe Lodge - 79 A.F. and A.M. on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Framed photograph of Rev. Dan. Norman and his wife, Mrs. Norman. Rev. Norman was a missionary in Japan, whose missionary trips were funded in part by Methodist Congregations in Bradford. He sometimes sent letters or gave presentations in the area about his work in Japan.

Writing on the back of the frame in green is partially rubbed off, with the illegible words replaced in pencil. It reads: "Rev Mr. Norman visited Schomberg in 1924 and was entertained by Mr. + Mrs. Skinner. His last visit." Additional writing underneath in pencil reads: "PICTURE OF:- REV. DAN. NORMAN & HIS WIFE, MISSIONARY TO JAPAN. SUPPORTED BY THE EPWORTH LEAGUES OF THE BRADFORD DISTRICT OF THE METHODIST CHURCH. (IN WHICH SCHOMBERG METHODIST CHURCH HAD A LARGE PART.)."

Description : Suddenly, as the result of an accident, in his 26th year. Husband of Frances Wilson. Son of Edgar and the late Orma Lowery. Rested at home in Schomberg until 11 a.m. Sunday, July 22, then at Schomberg United Church, where casket remained open until the service at 3:30 p.m. Interment in Mount Tegart Cemetery, Tottenham.
