Dear grandmother of Monique, Michael, Nicole, Sean and wife Paula, Kelly Anne, Sandra, Russell, Ryan, Kim, Michelle and Paul. The family will receive friends at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 20th at St. Philip Neri Church, 2100 JaneStreet. Description : Joan Frances, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Compton of Bradford, to Kenneth Lawrence Pond of Toronto, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Pond of Simcoe, Ont. The wedding took place at Bradford United Church. Rev. F. G. MacTavish officiated. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Norma Compton, as maid of honour, and Misses Marilyn Ritchie of Bradford and Shirley-Ann Deyell of North Bay, as bridesmaids. Mr. Murray Pond of Simcoe was his brother's groomsman and the ushers were the bride's brother, Mr. Gordon Compton, of Bradford, and the groom's brother-in-law, Mr. Robert Crofoot of Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Pond, both of whom are graduates from Toronto University with the degree of B.A., will reside at 100 Sheppard Ave. E., Willowdale.

Description : Former resident of Bond Head. Died in Wellesley Hospital, Toronto, at age 88 years, after an illness of two weeks. Married Harry H. Porter, of Prince Albert, Sask. in 1916. Mr. Porter died in 1927. No children. Survived by one sister, Joce (Mrs. H.T. Baycroft) of Aurora. Predeceased by two brothers H. Beverley, Compton B. and two sisters, Eva (Mrs. John P.
