Scope and content

This Victorian style house was built around 1865 for John Goodfellow, son of Adam Goodfellow. Adam had bought the land and left it to his son when he died in 1865. Unfortunatly in 1865 the farm was sold under "power of sale" to Wilson Stoddart, son of William and Margaret Stoddart (nee Wilson). Wilson Stoddart farmed the land for 7 years then passed it to his brother, John Edward Stoddart, who farmed it until 1907. In the spring of 1907 John Henry and Zilpha Anne Williams (nee Milligan) and their children: Walter, Letitia, Henry, Alonzo, Silas, Alexandria and Anna, moved to the farm. In 1920 Henry married Velma Sawdon and the farm was divided, with Alonzo farming 100 acres and Henry the other 100 acres. In June 1934 Alonzo married Dorothy Mary McKelvey Jackson and had three children: Ralph, Zelpha Anne and Mary. Ralph married Marilynne Joan Mousley of Weston in 1965 and had three children on the farm: Lynn, John and James. Lynn married Brian Kell in 1992 (Jamie and Jocelyn), John married Susan Fernandes in 1993(Martin, Carmen, Greta, Russel) and Jim married Carla Westlake in 2001 (Jace).
