Description : The news of the sudden death of Dr. Peter Bailey at the Victoria Hospital, London, Ont., on Thursday last was received with sincere regret by his former patients and friends here.Dr. Bailey, who was in his late thirties, was taken to hospital on the Saturday before his death suffering from burns, which, according to information reaching here, resulted from his falling asleep while smoking in bed. After his graduation Dr. Bailey was associated with another doctor in Barrie for a brief period before he purchased the medical practice here from Dr. R. H. Judge in 1944. He sold his interests here about a year later, finding the demands very strenuous, and he also wished to advance himself in his profession. He did post graduate work at the Western Hospital, Toronto, and in New York, before practising in North Battleford, Sask. After obtaining his F.R.C.S. degree he began practice in St. Thomas where he had spent the past six years. The funeral was held from the Earl Elliott Funeral Home, Toronto, on Monday, with interment in Highland Memorial Gardens.
