Description : Dr. Hildo Bolley, who, with Edward Johnson, was one of the founders of the Guelph Civic Symphony and Chorale, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, on Friday. He was 50. Dr. Brolley practiced medicine in Guelph for 15 years after moving there from Mount Forest.He was an accomplished violinist and played in the Guelph Civic Symphony as well as being on its executive and on that of the Presto Music Club.As a physician, he attended Dr. Edward Johnson when the former manager of the New York Metropolitan opera Co. had his fatal collapse at Guelph Memorial Gardens on April 20, 1959.Dr. Bolley leaves his wife, Laura Maurino, (formerly of Bradford), a son, Hildo Jr. and three daughters, Dianne, Gay and Andrea, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Constanzo Bolley of Toronto.Dr. and Mrs. Bolley were married in 1939 and in 1940 he went overseas with the rank of Captain. Returning, he first practiced in Mount Forest, before establishing a very successful medical career in Guelph.Dr. Bolley was here for the marriage of his niece, the former Laurene Catania, about a week before his first heart attack at which time he entered the hospital.The pallbearers at his funeral on Monday in Toronto were his brother-in-law, James Catania of Bradford, Dr. Bron. Dale, Syd. Spiegal, Jim Wexler, Dr. Wuneth and Aldo Morello, all of Guelph.The honorary pallbearers were all members of the medical profession.
