Description : Peacefully at South Lake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Sunday, November 12, 2000. Gertrude De Jong (nee Biemold) of Bradford at 82 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Martin De Jong. Dear mother of Ed and his wife Marna at Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta, Albert and his wife Brenda of Bradford, John De Jong and Pat Lascelle of Victoria, B.C., Harriet and her husband Dick of Holland Landing, James and his wife Glynnis of Beeton, Tess De Jong and Gilles Pigeon of Keswick and Kathy De Jong of Toronto. Also survived by her sisters Katriena Verrips of Newmarket, Hilda Rupke of Ansnorveldt, and 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation. Funeral service was held at the Holland Marsh Christian Reformed Church, Ansnorveldt on Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at 2 p.m. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. Donations to South Lake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket would be appreciated.
