Description : Peacefully at York County Hospital, Newmarket on Wednesday, January 12, 2000. Martin De Jong of Bradford in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Gertrude (nee Biemold) of nearly 60 years. Dear fathers of Ed and his wife Marna of Ft. Saskatchewan, Atla., Albert and his wife Brenda of Bradford, John De Jong and Pat Lascelle of Victoria, BC., Harriet and her husband Dick Bierling of Holland Landing, James and his wife Glynnis of Beeton, Tess De Jong and her husband Gilles Pigeon of Newmarket and Kathy De Jong of Toronto. Also survived by sister Hendrika Van Dyken of Holland Landing, brother John Guelph, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Lathangue & Skwarchul Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford for visitation on Friday, January 14, 2000 between 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Holland Marsh Christian Reformed Church, Ansnorveld on Saturday, January 15, 2000 at 2 p.m. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. Donations to the York County Hospital Foundation, Newmarket, Ontario would be appreciated.
