    Note

While the death notice lists wife as "Ann Venon", aCARD OF THANKS, also found on page 19 of the Bradford Gazette for June 21, 1989, gives her name as ANN VERNON. It reads:
Ann Vernon and the Downie family would like to thank friends and neighbours for their unlimited help and support at the time of Frank Downie's death. Special thanks to Rev. Karen Cummings, Barry & Linda Moor, Peggy Cassils and Bruce Lowther. All food donations and other support was greatly appreciated during this most difficult time and will not be soon forgotten. --Ann Vernon
