Description : Robert James Hayes, a native of West Gwillimbury Township, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 1952, at his late residence, Aurora, Ont. Born on July 6, 1871, on the 13th
Concession of West Gwillimbury, the late Mr. Hayes farmed there until 1907, when he moved to Aurora. Surviving are his widow, Susan Robinson Hayes, two daughters, Thelma and Isabel; one son, Gordon Hayes; five grandchildren, and two sisters, Misses Margaret and Isabel of Bradford.His funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14, at 2 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home, Aurora. Interment took place in Aurora Cemetery. The pallbearers were nephews of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes: Elbert Hayes, Wm. McClinton, John Robinson, Guy McClean, G. Banting and Herbert Houston.
