Hugh McKay, brother of Ellen McKay. He lived with his sister Hannah in a white house across from the Scotch Settlement Church, where Sinclair and Vera McDonald lived after they were married. **Possibly the Hugh Chalmers McKay died October 17, 1927 aged 80 years, son of Hugh McKay (d. Oct. 10, 1853 age 45 1/2), and Jessie Sutherland (died September 14, 1892, aged 82). Reference: Tecumseth and West Gwillimbury Historical Society.
