This is the house of Dr. Lewis Campbell at 33 John St. East. It was built in 1900, and many of the details within the house are still original. A roof skylight, balcony infill above the porch, and the entrance stairs and railing have all been modified.
Dr. Lewis Campbell was a second generation of the Scottish Campbells and was well known in Town. See the Related Descriptions for more information on Dr. Campbell.

One side of two Canadian Lacrosse Association Championship medals awarded to William L. Campbell and Dr. Lewis H. Campbell. Both men were on Bradford's lacrosse team and their names are engraved on the medals (as seen in this view). Dr. Campbell won a medal for 1902 and 1905 and William won one for 1905.

Description : Dr. Lewis H. Campbell, of Bradford, to Miss Louisa H. Graham, daughter of Mrs. Thomas Graham. The wedding took place at the residence of the bride's mother, 26 Callendar St., Toronto. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.R. Rankin, of Dunn Avenue Methodist Church.
