Description : Died at his home, 42 Oakfield Dr., Toronto, in his 71st year. Dearly beloved husband of Ella MacKay, dear father of Douglas, Jean (Mrs. D. E. Lindsay), Helen and Gordon, all of Toronto; Dorothy (Mrs. K. Brett) of Rosemount; Marion (Mrs. H. Jenkinson) of Hamilton; James in England; Winona (Mrs. N. C. Sinclair) of Calgary; Donald of Timiskaming; brother of Mrs. Melissa Stacey, Mrs. Annie Askin and Mrs. Ada Fletcher, all of Tilbury, Ont., survived by 23 grandchildren. Rested at Yorke Bros. Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. Funeral service was held at the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment Knox Cemetery.

Description : Mr. John Frederick Cullingham, a former highly esteemed resident of Bradford, passed away at his home, 42 Oakfield Dr., Toronto, on Thursday, January 20, 1955, following a lengthly illness.Mr. Cullingham was born in Palermo, Ontario, in 1884, son of the late John and Amanda Cullingham. He attended school at The Sixteen and later farmed at Winona. In 1910 he married Ella McKay. Mr. and Mrs. Cullingham left the farm to operate a general store at Temperanceville, and from there came to Newton Robinson where they had the general store.In 1930 the family moved to Bradford where Mr. Cullinham served on the Bradford school board.Moving to Toronto, Mr. Cullingham was employed at De Haviland Aircraft during war years, continuing until ill health forced his retirement eighteen months ago.The deceased was a Past Master of Newton Robinson L.O.L. No. 209, and also of Manitoba Masonic Lodge, Cookstown. He was associated with Simcoe Masonic Lodge, Bradford and Corinthian Lodge, Toronto, and was a Past Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Ontario.Mr. Cullingham and his family made many friends in Bradford and throughout the district, especially in the Newton Robinson and Cookstown area, who learned of his illness and death with sincere sympathy.Surviving are his wife and family of four sons and five daughters, namely: Douglas, a broker in Thornhill; Mrs. H. K. Brett (Dorothy) of Rosemount; Mrs. H. Jenkinson (Marion) of Hamilton; Mrs. D. E. Lindsay (Jean) of Toronto; Miss Helen, accomplished in the art of hand weaving, of Toronto; James, Flight Sergeant, with R.A.F., Watton, England; Mrs. N. C. Sinclair (Winona) of Calgary; Gordon, program planner with C.B.C., Toronto; Donald, chemical engineer, of Timiskaming, and 23 grandchildren. Three sisters also survived Mr. Cullingham, but one of the three, Mrs. Stacey, died on January 22, two days after his death. The two remaining are Mrs. Annie Askin and Mrs. Ada Fletcher.The funeral was held from Yorke Bros. Funeral Home, Toronto, with Rev. R. V. Wilson of Queensway United Church officiating. Interment was in Knox Cemetery, The Sixteen. The funeral was held under Masonic auspices.The honorary pallbearers were: F. C. Cook, C. T. S. Evans, A. W. Spence, Thos. Robinson, J. Frank Houghton and D. K. Harvey. The pallbearers were three sons and three sons-in-law, namely Douglas, Gordon and Donald Cullingham, Keith Brett, Henry Jenkinson and Don. Lindsay.
