Description : Gladiollus and dahlias decorated the Scotch Settlement Presbyterian Church on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 15, at 4 o'clock, for a late summer wedding when Mary Elizabeth, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Norman McKay, Bradford, became the bride of Robert Lindquist Dunning son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Llewellyn Dunning of Teaneck, New Jersey, U.S.A., Rev. Grant Muir of Barrie, assisted by Rev. Carson McLarnon of Bradford, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride's aunt, Mrs. Milton Reynolds of Beeton played the wedding music, and Mrs. Carson McLarnon was soloist, signing The Lord's Prayer" before the ceremony and "Because" during the signing of the register.Given in the marriage by her father the bride wore a white satin gown over a crinoline made with long sleeves and a nylon net yoke bordered with sequins. The long skirt had a shadow lace front panel and ended in a chapel train. Her fingertip nylon net veil was held by a coronet of sequins and she carried a cascade of white roses and carnations. Miss Margaret McKay was her sister's maid of honour and her bridesmaids were Mrs. Harry Dunning of Cooperstown N.Y. and Mrs. Stephen Uhle of Teaneck N.J. Their dresses were cornflower blue net over taffeta with net stoles. They wore matching headdress of net and flowers with white nylon gloves and carried cascades of blue pink and white carnations.Mr. Harry Dunning was his brother's groomsman and the ushers were Messrs. Norman McKay brother of the bride and Stephen Uhle.A reception for ninety guests was held at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. McKay received wearing a blush rose dress with navy blue accessories and gardenia corsage. Mrs. Dunning's dress was powder blue lace with navy accessories and pink corsage.Mr. and Mrs. Dunning will make their home in Maywood New Jersey.Mrs. Dunning is a graduate of Bradford High School and a 1951 graduate of St. Michael's Hospital School for Nurses Toronto. She has been on the staff of the Presbyterian Hospital New York City since graduation."
