Description : In failing health for a considerable time, Mr. Ebenezer Todd, former well known resident of Innisfil Township, passed away at the home of his niece, Mrs. Clarence Meyers, in Toronto in his 88th year.Born on the farm on concession 2, Innisfil, where he resided for 65 years, the late Mr. Todd attended school at Cherry Creek and later was one of Innisfil's most prominent residents. For fourteen years he held office in his municipality. He was a councillor for four years, deputy-reeve for four years, and reeve of Innisfil for six years, climaxing in his being Warden of Simcoe County in 1919. He was a member of Stroud Masonic Lodge and of Churchill United Church.He married the former Lucinda Sproule and they retired to Toronto twenty-three years ago where Mrs. Todd passed away in a little over a year's time. They had no family.During his years in Toronto he was a member and elder of Parkdale Presbyterian Church.Mr. Todd was the last member of a family of ten. He was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters, namely, John, Susan (Mrs. Rothwell), Davidson, Joseph, Thomas, Charlie, Elizabeth (Mrs. King), Hugh and Samuel.A funeral service was held in Toronto on Sunday evening, conducted by his minister, Dr. Jas. McNeil of Parkdale Presbyterian Church, followed by service in Churchill United Church on Monday afternoon conducted by the minister, Rev. H. Sanders. Interment was in Sixth Line Cemetery.The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, namely, Sherman Todd, Allan Todd, Harry Todd, Elmer Rothwell, Walter King and Clarence Meyers.

Terry Bosnjak of St. Catherines was flower girl and Joseph Kanyo, young nephew of the bride, accompanied her. Joseph Nagy was groomsman and the ushers were Don. McPherson, Emile Birinyi, Geb Bucklin, John Heinrik, Mike Russ and Steve Evans.Mr. and Mrs. Borscok will reside in Caledon.

Born at Gilford, Ont., he had lived in Meriden for many years.A Manufacturer's Agent, he was a member of Center Lodge, No. 45, American Legion, and the Paint Salesmen's Club. He served in France as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in World War I.Besides his wife, Mrs. Hazel Pomeroy Bell, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Charles VanTassell; a grandson, Charles VanTassell, and a granddaughter, Cheryl Joy VanTassell, all of Meriden; five brothers, Roy and Frank Bell of Barrie, Ont., Ernest, Harold and Ross of Gilford; and four sisters, Mrs. Hedley Carnahan of Elmvale, Ont., who was visiting him, the two couples having recently returned from a trip to Florida, Mrs. Wm. Bayn;es and Mrs. Thomas Scott of Barrie, and Mrs. Robert Hood of Toronto, as well as several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Herb. Hughes (Mabel), predeceased him a number of years ago.Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Flatow Home, 48 Cook Ave., withe the Rev. Gauthrie Swartz of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in East Cemetery.

Description : In failing health owing to advanced age, Mr. Harry Norton Gapp had been bedfast for about three months before his death at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Steers, of West Gwillimbury. The immediate cause of death was a stroke.Born in Norfolk, England, the late Mr. Gapp was married there to the former Ruth Dack of Birmingham, England. In 1911 they came to this country and settled at Bradford. In earlier life he worked with the railroad but later turned to his favourite occupation, gardening. On December 3, 1935, Mrs. Gapp died very suddenly. Mr. Gapp continued to make his home in Bradford until after the marriage of his only daughter, Mrs. Steers. In more recent years he has made his home with her and her husband on the farm where his last years were spent gardening and doing the lighter tasks about the farm which was a manner of living much enjoyed by him.He was a member of the Church of England and of the I.O.F.Mr. Gapp is survived by four sons, John, Edward and Sydney, all of Bradford, and Harry of Toronto, and one daughter, Mrs. Ben Steers, West Gwillimbury. A son, Robert, predeceased him a few years ago. A sister in Canada, Mrs. George Rowson, Port Nelson, and four sisters and a brother in Norfolk, England, also survive.The funeral was held on Thursday, February 5, from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Steers, to Trinity Anglican Church, Bradford, where services were conducted by two former rectors of the church, namely Rev. H. G. Blake of Toronto and Rev. T. J. Dew of Mimico. Interment was in St. Paul's Cemetery, Coulson's Hill.The pallbearers were his four sons, Edward, John and Sydney Gapp of Bradford and Harry Gapp of Toronto, Douglas Stewart and James Steers.Flowerbearers were three grandsons, Robert, Thomas and Donald Gapp of Toronto, D. Chantler and Bill Williams.
