Description : In failing health for a considerable time, Mr. Ebenezer Todd, former well known resident of Innisfil Township, passed away at the home of his niece, Mrs. Clarence Meyers, in Toronto in his 88th year.Born on the farm on concession 2, Innisfil, where he resided for 65 years, the late Mr. Todd attended school at Cherry Creek and later was one of Innisfil's most prominent residents. For fourteen years he held office in his municipality. He was a councillor for four years, deputy-reeve for four years, and reeve of Innisfil for six years, climaxing in his being Warden of Simcoe County in 1919. He was a member of Stroud Masonic Lodge and of Churchill United Church.He married the former Lucinda Sproule and they retired to Toronto twenty-three years ago where Mrs. Todd passed away in a little over a year's time. They had no family.During his years in Toronto he was a member and elder of Parkdale Presbyterian Church.Mr. Todd was the last member of a family of ten. He was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters, namely, John, Susan (Mrs. Rothwell), Davidson, Joseph, Thomas, Charlie, Elizabeth (Mrs. King), Hugh and Samuel.A funeral service was held in Toronto on Sunday evening, conducted by his minister, Dr. Jas. McNeil of Parkdale Presbyterian Church, followed by service in Churchill United Church on Monday afternoon conducted by the minister, Rev. H. Sanders. Interment was in Sixth Line Cemetery.The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, namely, Sherman Todd, Allan Todd, Harry Todd, Elmer Rothwell, Walter King and Clarence Meyers.
