Description : The death of Mr. Cecil Paul, as a result of coronary thrombosis, occured very suddenly at his home in Bradford on Tuesday, September 13.Born 57 years ago at Delabole, Cornwall, England, and educated there, Mr. Paul served with the British Army in World War I. After the war he came to this country in 1919 and settled in Saskatchewan and later married Gertrude Clarke at Biggar, Saskatchewan.He worked as a stationary engineer and in 1948 came to Bradford from Thedford, Ontario, as engineer for Bradford Co-operative Storage, a position he held until he death, and which he filled efficently. A quiet industrious man, Mr. Paul was held in high estemm among those who knew him best at his place of business.He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Enid Kenny of Strathroy and Mrs. Della Wilcox of Thedford; one son, Douglas Paul of R.C.N. at Halifax, N.S.; two brothers, Fred and Douglas Paul and one sister, Miss Ena Paul, all of Delabole, England.The funeral was held on Friday in Thedford, Ontario. Services were taken by Rev. Parrott and Rev. F. G. MacTavish, the latter of Bradford, and the military funeral was in charge of Thedford veterans. Interment was in Grand Bend Cemetery.The pallbearers were four friends who had been fellow employees at Bradford Co-operative Storage, namely, Sam Conn, Leighton Giffen, Bruce Edney and Gordon Covert, and two Thedford friends, S. Humpheries and W. Blewitt.
