Accident still under investigation

"Occurrences investigated by the officers of the Bradford OPP during the week included 11 traffic accidents in which one person was killed and six persons were injured.
On the morning of Nov. 1, Nancy Thedoru of Toronto was killed when the car driven by her husband George was involved in a collision with a pick up truck driven by Frank Anzil of Klienburg. Mr. Anzil's wife Tina was a passenger in the truck. Mr. Theodoru remains at Sunnybrook Medical Centre.
Mr. Anzil is in intensive care in stable condition at York County Hospital. His wife has been transferred to St. Michael's Hospital.
OPP are still investigating the accident, which occurred at Highways 11 and 89, near Gilford. No charges have been laid as yet.
Bradford OPP investigated 42 occurrences during the week, including two drivers charged with excess alcohol. Also, five liquor related charges were laid."

Accident Report -Deaths of Lloyd Robbins, John Matteer, Donald L. Hill, Dorothy Schauteer

Four people killed when light truck crashes into bus near Churchill. Dead are Lloyd Robbins and John Matteer, both of Belle Ewart, Donald L. Hill of Bradford, and Mrs. Dorothy Schauteer. Mrs. Robbins also later died in hospital.

Six-year-old boy killed when the left side of the car he was riding in was ripped off in a collision with a truck on Highway 27. Was going to visit his grandparents at the time. Driver of the truck, Lloyd Wallace, was charged with dangerous and careless driving.

Bradford Fire Chief Harold Boyd explains how a resuscitator works during open house at the fire hall last week. Tara Lund (centre), 6, of Barrie Street, and Jason Doeler, 4, and Gregory Doeler, 3, of Luxury Avenue were among the visitors who saw life-saving equipment on display and had a chance to speak to members of the town's volunteer firefighting brigade. Pamphlets outlining good safety practices were also distributed. This photo was found in the Bradford Women's Institute Scrapbooks.

Image of an invoice from A. Sutherland Grocery on Holland Street. The invoice is dated June 12th, 1926 and to Hazel Campbell. Alexander Sutherland also operated a bakery on Simcoe Road. His wife, Elizabeth was the sister of Bessie Campbell (wife of William Campbell).
