Description : Age: 65 years.Born in Cookstown County, Tyrone, Ireland, as the youngest of six children (four sons and two daughters) to Thomas and Annie Murphy.Deceased immigrated to Canada with his parents when he was four or five, and they first settled in Port Credit before moving to Bradford.Died of apoplexy in Coldwater.Formerly a merchant in Bradford with his brother John, who survives him. He also operated a saw mill business with one of his brothers.His brother Alex predeceased him.Lost almost of the possessions of his business in the great fire of 1871 in Bradford.Moved their business to Coldwater.Interred at Middleton burying grounds.Additional obituary appeared in the March 22 edition.
