Description : After 15 years with the Municipality, Treasurer Amy Harting-Keys has put in for early retirement, taking advantage of a new OMERS "downsizing" incentive package. It's something that she first considered back in July, delaying her retirement until the OMERS policy was in place, and until Treasury could prepare for her departure. In those fifteen years, Harting-Keys has seen a lot of changes - the town of Bradford growing from a sleepy community of approximately 6,000 persons, to 14,000; the introduction of computers into treasury operations; the amalgamation of Bradford and West Gwillimbury. Friday, September 30th, was her last day in Treasury. After working hours, friends and fellow staff members got together to throw Harting-Keys a surprise "farewell" party. "It's not a resignation," said Harting-Keys; just an opportunity to go and do something new, in retirement.
