SCHOLTEN, Richard - At his residence on Sunday, October 30, 1994, Richard Scholten of Bond Head in his 52nd year. Beloved husband of Dagmar. Loving father of Stephanie, Stephen, Dawn and Diane. Dear grandfather of Adison and Alisha. Predeceased by his father Jacob and survived by mother Karen, seven brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe St. Bradford. Funeral service was held at Victory Baptist Church, Newmarket on Wednesday, Novembe 2, 1994 at 2 p.m. Interment at Bond Head Cemetery. Description : "Former resident of Barrie. Thompson C. Fisher, who celebrated his 91st birthday last Wednesday [September 4, 1944], died in Toronto on Sunday. He had resided in Toronto for five years. Born at Bond Head, Mr. Fisher was a graduate of Upper Canada College. For a time he engaged in farming at Thompsonville and Ivy and later became associate with the insurance business in Alliston and Barrie. Surviving are two sons, Dr. R.E. Fisher, Toronto, and Dr. C.M. Fisher, Chicago, Ill."

Beloved husband of the late Lorna Dixon, dear brother of Doreen (Mrs. Wilmot Markson) of Schomberg and William of Bradford. Dear friend of Ella Langford of Bradford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Street, Bradford. Service was held in chapel on Tuesday, February 27, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Bond Head Cemetery.
Donations to York County Hospital Foundation, Newmarket, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Visitation and service at the Lathangue & Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford. Interment in Bond Head Cemetery. AUSTIN, George Robert suddenly at York County Hospital, Newmarket on Wednesday April 1, 1992. George Austin of Bond Head in his 42nd year. Beloved husband of Penny. Loving father of Ruth, Robert, Roy and Lee. Beloved son of Frances and the late Joseph Austin. Fondly remembered by his six grandchildren. Rested at the Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services was [sic] held in the chapel on Saturday 11 a.m. followed by interment at Bond Head Cemetery.

Description : Age: 74 years, 5 months.Born in Mohill, County Letrim, Ireland, and came with his parents to Canada when he was seven.They first settled in Lloydtown, and then Bond Head, where the deceased spend twenty years of his life, first in the hotel business, and then as a merchant.He then settled in Bradford in 1864, and farmed and ran a shop, which his sons now do.Had nine children: six sons - William and John predeceased him, James, Elder, Walter and Briton; and three daughters - Mrs. Rev. Wass, of Brantford, Mrs. J. McL. Stevenson, Esq., of Barrie, and another.Interred at Mount Pleasant.

Description : The death of Mr. John Boddy, of this village, was referred to last week by nearly all our county exchanges. In our obituary notice we overlooked mentioning the fact that deceased had been a county magistrate for many years, and was also a staunch Conservative and a strong admirer of the late Sir John A. Macdonald. For upwards of thirty years he was the honoured treasurer of the South Simcoe Conservative Association, and in his day rendered valuable service to his party. The immediate cause of his death was an affection of the kidneys.
