Description : Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Mar. 3 by Rev. Robert Chapman in the Lewis Funeral Home chapel for Ruth Marguerite Yeomans (nee Pickard) of 66 Scanlon Ave., Bradford.Mrs. Yeomans died Mar. 1 in York County Hospital. She was born 73 years ago in Farron's Point, Ont.Her husband, Robert Vincent Yeomans predeceased her in February of 1962. The couple had been married in Hamilton in 1920.Mrs. Yeomans came to Bradford in 1948 and was a member of the United Church Women's Institute, the former school board and a Library Board member. She issued vehicle license plates in Bradford for 20 years.Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George (June) Wartman of Bradford, Mrs. Harold (Violet) Morrison of Thornhill, Mrs. Len (Bette) Hare of Bradford, Mrs. Harold (Gloria) Morrison of Richmond Hill; three sons, Robert of Kingston, Hobert of Vancouver, B.C., and James of Belleville. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
